Tulip Cutting
Lino print hand printed with oil ink on G.F Smith 175gsm paper with your choice of natural white or warm yellow. The ink is strikingly black with handpainted blood drops. A lot of time went into this print, it was tricky to carve as I don't often include 'unnatural' shapes in my work but I think it was worth it in the end.
The scissors can represent cutting ties with an individual or institution. In this case my intention is to represent making a difficult decision which you know will have positive consequences down the line.
